Please read these terms carefully before using Yaad Post services.

1. Services

Yaad Post provides package forwarding and shipping services from the United States to Jamaica. By creating an account, you receive a personal US shipping address that can be used to receive packages from US retailers. We then forward these packages to Jamaica for pickup at our Barbican location.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep this information updated. You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

3. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Certain items are prohibited from shipping and will not be accepted. These include but are not limited to: firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, hazardous materials, perishable foods, live animals, and counterfeit goods. Some items have restrictions and may require special handling or documentation. Please refer to our Restricted Items page for a complete list.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Yaad Post ships packages from Miami to Jamaica 3 times per week via air freight. Average delivery time is 3-5 business days from when your package arrives at our US warehouse, though times may vary depending on customs clearance. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs inspection, incorrect addresses, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Payments & Fees

Shipping fees are calculated based on package weight at our published rates. You pay when you pick up your package—no upfront payment is required. Additional fees may apply for customs duties, special handling, storage beyond 30 days, or other services. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.

6. Package Inspection & Customs

Yaad Post reserves the right to inspect packages for prohibited items. All packages are subject to customs inspection by Jamaican authorities. You are responsible for all customs duties and taxes assessed on your packages. We recommend keeping purchase invoices for customs documentation.

7. Liability Limitations

Yaad Post takes reasonable care in handling your packages, but our liability is limited. We are not liable for damage or loss caused by improper packaging by the shipper, customs inspection, or events beyond our control. Our maximum liability is limited to the declared value of the package or our published limits, whichever is less. We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items.

8. Service Refusal

Yaad Post reserves the right to refuse service, refuse to ship packages, or terminate accounts at our discretion. This includes cases where we suspect fraud, prohibited items, or violation of these terms. Packages may be returned, abandoned, or disposed of if they contain prohibited items or are not picked up within 60 days.

9. Changes to Terms

Yaad Post may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved in the courts of Jamaica. By using our services, you consent to the jurisdiction of Jamaican courts.
